The Mole: Xbox Live Arcade new releases, EA commits to the Wii

Xbox Live Arcade Games - Well its about time. After being teased like a kid with no money in a candy store, Microsoft will finally release some new classic arcade titles for Xbox Live Arcade. It started yesterday with Frogger (which I tried last night and it brought back some fond memories) and continues every Wednesday until August 9 with a new title being made available every week. Each game has a free demo and the complete version can be purchased for about $5. Here are the games and their release dates.

July 12 - Frogger
July 19 - Cloning Clyde
July 26 - Galaga
August 2 - Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting
August 9 - Pac Man

A pretty good list to be sure but this of course brings up the question - WHERE THE HECK IS CYBERBALL?!? The greatest robots-playing-football arcade game of the 1980's needs to come out soon. Xbox Live Arcade is incomplete without it.

EA Announces 6 Custom Designed Wii Games - Earlier today Electronic Arts revealed six new games that are in development for the Nintendo Wii. Madden, Need for Speed, Harry Potter, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, SSX and The Godfather will be designed specifically to use the Wii's innovative controller.

How will it work? I have no clue but I certainly am curious. EA will be announcing additional titles for the Wii in the coming months.
