Game Addiction
While you still have to wait a little while for "Arena Football", "Fight Night 3", and the new "Lord of the Rings" games to come out; there are still plenty of great games available right now.
Currently, I can't keep my hands off of Project Gotham 3 Racing and my good old stand by Halo 2.
What games are costing you a couple of hours of sleep a night? Let me know, I want to know if I'm missing out on something.

The Godfather Game
Gaming giant EA announced yesterday that they will be releasing "The Godfather" video game for the PS2 and Xbox consoles on March 21st. It'll be released on the Xbox 360 and Sony PSP later in the year.
With "The Godfather" and "Scarface" coming out, it looks like there finally might be some games available that can improve on the free-roaming style done so well by the GTA series.

greatest games ever?
In the most recent issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (my favorite gaming mag of the ones I subscribe to, its the most objective) the 200 greatest games of their time were ranked. The games were from 1978 - 2005. But what the heck does "the greatest games of their time" mean? Basically the list is a measurement of how addictive games were when the were first released.
While I can't really argue with most of EGM's top 10 - Super Mario Bros (#1), Tetris (#4), GTA III (#9) - I can't believe how poorly some of my favorite and red-eye inducing games ranked. Does EGM mean to tell me that Mike Tyson's Punch Out (#44), Resident Evil (#56), Halo 2 (#76) and NHLPA Hockey '93 (#49) were less addictive than Metroid (#11) and Pitfall (#18)?? Did anybody actually play Pitfall? Honestly, I want to know.
Hey, I'm an old school gamer so maybe I remember with a little too much fondness the money I made during my frat house NHLPA hockey tournaments. Or for that matter, the stumping punching fear caused by rabid German Shephards breaking through windows and attacking me in the original version of Resident Evil. But these are the memories that stick with me years later.
Yeah, I know, games are subjective and lists are meant to start discussions and are not set in stone. So, lets hear it. What were the most addictive games you've ever played. Below is my top 5 list. Tell me what you think.
The Games Terry was so addicted to it almost cost him his job and his marriage
1. Metal Gear Solid (1998)
2. The Legend of Zelda (1987)
3. NBA Jam (1993)
4. Karate Champ (1984)
5. Super Mario Bros (1985)
